In 1985, Dr David Young purchased the dental practice of a local Artarmon dentist and over the years he has built up this family run practice to a point, wherein the surgery had to be relocated to a brand new facility in nearby Chatswood.

Currently, the dental clinic comprises of six dental practitioners. The dentists have in between them, a wide range of expertise and experience in various areas of dentistry like dental implants, orthodontics and so on. They are efficiently supported in their endeavours by a qualified and experienced team of dental assistants and administrative staff.

The major services offered by Dr. David Young and associates, cater to oral hygiene, periodontics/gum treatment, paediatric dentistry, endodontic therapy/root canal treatment, cosmetic dentistry, dentures, mouth guards, night guards/splints, snoring and sleep apnoea appliances.  Dr. David Young and associates also ensure a pain-free dentistry and provide emergency appointments for special cases.

The surgery is open from 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The surgery is also open from 8:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M on Saturdays. Currently, on Tuesdays, the surgery is open from 8:00 A.M to 8:00 P.M, thus, after hour appointments can be availed on Tuesdays. However, dental emergencies are seen daily. Free parking is also available close by the practice.

Dr. Michael Adams’ clinic provides a wide variety of dental care services. These include general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, neuromuscular dentistry, and children’s dentistry. Dr. Michael Adams also focuses on providing a preventive treatments for their patients. In order to provide the best of their services, the practice also has a lot of technological support in the form of an in-house OPG (which takes a full panoramic picture of the mouth, teeth and bone structure) and intra-oral cameras (which help to see the insides of the mouth in an overhead monitor). The clinic also offers their patients IV sedation or Sleep Dentistry services, where patients are conscious, but sedated during their dental surgery procedures.

The Clinic offers Cerec, a form of cosmetic dentistry using computer aided CAD/CAM technology which allows high quality dental restorations. This is done using a 3D technology where a digital photograph of the tooth is taken and the restoration to be made is designed using dental software. This is followed by preparation of a solid ceramic block and bonding of the ceramic restoration with the tooth structure. The whole process lasts about a maximum of 2 hours.

Dr. Anderson also consults patients for dental implants in Sydney and dental replacements. After the consultation, the patient is referred to a special surgeon who performs implant surgery. After removing the natural tooth a titanium screw is implanted in the jaw bone. A crown is then made to match the color of the surrounding teeth and then cemented onto the implant. These implants are either done immediately or within a period of 6 months, depending on patient’s condition.

The Martin Place Dental Clinic also offers other specialized services such as implanting, tooth whitening, bridging, crowning and veneering. They offer two different methods of tooth whitening: Britesmile (a one hour, in-chair system) and a Take-Home Kit. Dr. Anderson also schedules regular progress check-ups for all his patients.

Patients with issues of tooth decay and periodontal disease are referred to the dental hygienists in the Clinic.
